Honest Answers

FAQ — SaaS vs Agency vs DTC tracks, honest gaps

"We're a SaaS company — do you know B2B/PLG?"

Honest gap: My 90-day Sprint and core case studies are DTC eCommerce. The finance-first method (Contribution Profit, MER, payback thresholds, weekly rhythm) transfers directly. But I don't have a SaaS case study with ARR/NRR/expansion metrics to show. For SaaS: Advisory retainer or Hire (where I learn your model) are better fits than Sprint. I'm actively studying B2B/PLG finance models — ask me what I've learned.

"We're an agency — can you help us grow?"

Honest gap: I've never run agency growth as an operator. I know the agency model from the vendor side (1,000+ brands managed). I understand agency P&L: utilization, bill rates, pipeline, delivery margin. But I haven't owned agency new business or retention. For agency: Advisory (I sharpen your pitch/ops) or Consultation (diagnostic) fit better. Sprint is not designed for agency models.

"What's your notice period / availability?"

Sprint: 2 spots/quarter. Next cohort starts [DATE]. Advisory: 3–4 retainer slots max, usually 1–2 open. Fractional CMO: 1–2 clients max at a time. Full-time Hire: 30–60 day notice typical. Book a call at neetocal.com/souravghosh for real-time availability.

"What's your compensation expectation?"

Sprint: Fixed fee (₹3L–₹5L/mo equivalent) + profit share (10–20% of incremental Contribution Profit above baseline). Advisory: ₹1.5L–₹3L/mo retainer. Fractional CMO: ₹4L–₹8L/mo (10–20 hrs/wk). Full-time: ₹80L–₹1.5Cr CTC (₹3L–₹6L/mo in-hand) — benchmarked to Indian in-hand, not raw USD. Consultation: TBD. All negotiable based on scope, stage, and alignment. No fee on first screen — book a call first.

"Can you relocate / work US hours?"

Based in Kolkata (IST, UTC+5:30). Overlap with US West Coast: 6:30–9:30 PM IST = 6–9 AM PST. Overlap with US East Coast: 8:30–11:30 PM IST = 8–11 AM EST. I work async-first with structured syncs (Mon/Wed/Fri rhythm). For full-time US roles: open to relocation conversation after mutual conviction. For Sprint/Advisory/Fractional: timezone is a feature — async depth > sync theater.

"What tools do you actually use daily?"

Daily drivers: Triple Whale (CP/MER dashboard), Shopify Admin, Meta Ads Manager, Google Ads, Klaviyo, GA4, Notion (OS), Slack, Linear/Jira. AI stack: Claude (analysis/writing), GPT-4o (coding/strategy), Perplexity (research), Hermes (local agent), custom Python for data. Finance: Google Sheets (forecasting), QuickBooks/Xero (review only). Creative: Figma (review), Canva (fast assets), CapCut (video review). I learn new tools fast — stack matters less than finance-first thinking.
